Not everything Orient makes is great. They're trying really hard to fill the void Seiko created when they decided to go down this Seiko 5 route and jack up the prices of everything, and in some places they do well, others they don't.For me on this one, they do. I've got what I think is considered a Bamino 1 on a leather strap and it's a nice, clean, simple quasi-dress watch. It's thin enough to fit under cuffs, but I don't like leather on a dress watch generally (not a huge fan of leather bands at all, really). Don't get me wrong, it's a nice looking piece and I wear it frequently. But this version is much improved as a dress watch. The stainless steel bracelet is not the best I own, but it isn't obnoxiously 'rattly' and the clasp is sufficient. It was easy enough to resize to my ~7.25" wrist, though I do so hate the pin system Orient is using on these bracelets. The dial really does look great. On mine, the blue does pop, and the steel dial markers are all well polished, placed perfectly and stand out exceptionally well against the blue. I think it looks really nice against blue shirts and jackets. I generally think that color-matched date windows are the way to go, but something about this one being white really works for me. It would look good color-matched with white text, but this doesn't look bad at all.The piece is very thin and slides very nicely under shirt and jacket cuff. The one major difference between this and my other Bambino is the movement. On my original the rotor is noticeably loud when it spins, as many Orient movements do. This one is not at all noticeable. I'm not sure exactly what they did to improve on this, or if perhaps mine is just a rare positive fluke, but I love it.I can't speak enough to the value I think Orient is providing these days across their whole product line. Getting good automatic movements that will last and look good enough as they age to give them to your kids doesn't mean you have to spend their college money to do it. As Orient moves more and more into that value segment Seiko is abandoning, I hope they will continue to refine their movements and pay some attention to their bracelets and straps to up their game a little, but right now, this piece really works for me.I highly recommend it and think if you like value timepieces you'll enjoy this one being in your collection.I like orient, this is my second bambino. Great looking watch. The hands are a very dark blue, not like the bright blue pictured. The hands were black and not the blue that was advertised. However, It’s a beautiful and well crafted watch especially for the price and the black hands give it that classic look that reminds me of the watches my grandad wore. I’ll be keeping it and adding it to my collection.as far as cheap watches goes this is up with the best. my only complaint is the mineral crystal instead of sapphire. the movement is accurate to within 3 seconds a day on average. the worst i saw was it was off by 10. wears great on my giant wrist. gets no compliments from anyone, thats a good thing. its not made to be stupid and blingy. just elegant and nice for $200. very happyLikeLove the watch, it's gorgeous. But, it doesn't seem to be self winding correctly. Wore the watch all day yesterday, and even wound the watch some this morning and then put it on to wear. (didn't wind it all the way, because I was going to be wearing it) By 11am it's dead on my wrist. Either automatic watches only work for people who are very very active, (no desk jobs) or there is something wrong with it. I plan to order a replacement and hope it works better. I've had this happen a couple of times and blown it off as a fluke, but I'd like to think it can go a while without my swinging my arms thru the air??? We'll see if the replacement works better. My first 'Automatic' and I'm beginning to wonder why bother.Love the style and the classic lookBeautiful. Orient watches always very well done. Excellent piece.I am really pleased with this purchase. The watch is far better looking than the illustration on the Amazon product page. Some differences being the hands are jet black rather than blue. They only show subtle blueing on the edges of the hands when tilted in certain light to hint that they have been tempered. Also the minutes hand is far more slender and elegant than the picture, and the face is an attractive pearly white rather than stark white. Its a light watch, and its 40.5mm case is just about at the size limit for a medium 7 inch wrist like mine. It is just so easy to read with a quick glance. My favourite aspects are way the minute and second hands are curved to hug the bevel of the watch face, the way the tiny golden dots on the hour markers shimmer, the strap has a fine suede finish on the inside, and it has a workable accuracy of just plus 9 seconds per day. Fully recommended if you like the simple design, because it looks even better when you see it on your wrist.I heard that most designer watches are made by Swiss companies in China with $15 Chinese time pieces. I wanted to avoid Chinese products as much as possible so I investigated watches with Japanese parts. This fit the bill. Looks nice. Seems to keep time well. The booklet says that time keeping may not be as accurate as non-mechanical watches and that excessive vibration and excessive "rest" time impacts time keeping. Not a concern for me.I have an 8 1/2 inch wrist - sadly it does not come with extra links (anyone that i contacted for extra links would only offer full watch bands for sale for around 60us$) and a nato strap really changes the look of the watch - would probably fit comfortably on 8 inch or less wrist - other than that its a beautiful well made watch that I would like to have kept in my collection but sadly had to return.Gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the box had a dent, probably due to shipping. The watch itself was in perfect condition and looks amazing. The dial is nice and big but doesn't feel too heavy. Overall really impressed and I see this as my main watch for years to comeMe gusto mucho el reloj, es muy elegante y a la ves minimalista, lo recomiendo ya que sus materiales son de excelente calidad
